Want a fun and epic adventure climbing, abseiling, navigating, scrambling and cookin on Dartmoor with your child?

Need a full day away from the TV and the phones?

Then our Mumventures are for you. These are not your average activity day.

Come along with your child for a fun and action packed day of adventure and join like minded Mums for an adventure you won't forget.

Our day consists of a guided walk on Dartmoor where you and your child will be learning how to map read and will eventually take turns in leading the group. Throughout the day you will try and find bonus items and prizes so make sure you listen to the map reading instructions!

We'll be scrambling over rocks, crossing rivers and learning about the history of the area and hopefully spot some wildlife. Throughout the day we will be doing little games, crafts and challenges that will be adapted according to the ages of the children.

In the afternoon we will be climbing and abseiling. We will be climbing outdoors where you will be learning how to climb on real rock and how to stay safe and belay each other.

Early evening we will cook a meal together and then pop popcorn and roast marshmallows on the fire to unwind and reflect on the day. Cooking and eating a meal outdoors away from TVs is a great experience for everyone.

Spending time outdoors has great physical, mental and emotional benefits for all ages, you'll also improve your problem solving skills, team work and resilience.

We provide all the specialist gear (and dinner!) and will instruct you on all aspects of any navigation and climbing. You just need to bring your clothes, a back pack and a thirst for adventure. Water bottles will be provided and fresh (filtered) water will be found during the expedition.

Fitness and Age

We welcome any levels of fitness and children from the age of 3. We will change the activities to include everyone and will run separate courses for different age ranges if required.
